Today was my first rest day.. After 2 days of climbing… I didn’t want to climb anymore and just wanted to stretch out my body.
Lawrence wasn’t feeling too shabby so he was also having a recovery day. We teamed up and headed for a drive towards Tuolumne Meadows. We saw some beautiful granite spires along the way and passed Tenaya Lake which was this massive lake surrounded by pine trees and granite mountains.
Lawrence even took the time to whip out his yoga mat… Stretch his arse and get some sunshine.
We kept driving towards Tuolumne Meadows and it started raining but nevertheless was beautiful.
It wasn’t long before we had to turn around as the weather turned bad. Here’s one last photo of one of the many lakes on the way.
We got back… Headed back to Curry Village for pizza and relaxed on a couch with wifi whilst Lawrence starfished on the couch. It’s been hard to find climbers here at Camp 4. Most people already come with partners and many of those who come alone only bring shoes and harness… Most of the classic multipitch climbs here require more than 1 set of cams so only one person having gear is just not good enough… So for those who come to climb… Be considerate and bring something other than your shoes and harness to the table if you want to climb
