“there’s a reason why the climb is called Drainpipe”

image

Another beautiful morning and another day of climbing… We wish… The weather hasn’t been cooperating lately with small drizzles of spitting in the mornings. “we’re doing the 5.9 tour of Indian Creek”

image

The sun peeked through the fly of my tent making the inside of the tent glow… These are one of the rare moments in my life where I can be camping and not set an alarm to wake up. It’s actually really nice compared to the 5:30am alarm I have set permanently on my phone. I got out of my tent and Em was already up. We started boiling water for coffee and Cilvie popped out of her tent.

“Waffles?!”

“Plant the seed” – Hell Fire Gully

image

I remember a few years ago, I sold a set of Black Diamond nuts on Gumtree and when the buyer came and picked it up, we had a bit of a chat. He mentioned that he was buying another set cause he was going to go up Bluff Knoll to do Hellfire Gully. I thought to myself at the time… Why the hell would you want to climb up Bluff Knoll?!
